Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is real. There is some science behind getting higher rankings in the search engines which leads to more traffic to your site. It's not simple, it takes time, it costs money and unfortunately there is no guarantee. The reason is it is all relative. If you are looking for Page One rankings on a competitive keyword combination where you are one of a million pages of results, where you rank is relative to the actions of all of the other people managing all of the other pages.

The more sophisticated the competition's SEO tactics, the more difficult it will be to move them out of the top positions. Remember that before your site came along someone else was occupying the top positions and for you to take their place you need to be better than they are at what the Search Engines are using to rank the pages.

For example if you did a search on "database design" you will get 398 million pages. Nothing like a little competition! However if you add a regional keyword like "database design Winnipeg" you get less than 1 million results and the Corectech site is in 4th place on the search results. This may change if you test it now as the rankings are constantly changing.
