When you need access to real time information you need a web based database. Corectech has expertise in designing forms for data entry, viewing and managing record sets using secure pages and designing web based reports. This provides multi-user access to real time information to allow for higher levels of service delivering including self service, and more effective decision making capabilities. Web based databases can be integrated to other web based databases as Online or Offline databases. The most common web-based database tools Corectech works with are MS Access, MySQL, and MS SQL Server.

The ability to design an effective database architecture is an area of expertise which Corectech excels at. We work with MS Access, MS SQL Server and MySQL and have experience with traditional client server and web based databases, database conversions and systems integration.

Examples of database solutions include, customer, inventory, product, image and file record sets. These are often used in connection with many front-end business processes like estimating, sales pipeline management, job costing, time sheets, purchasing and order processing.

They have considerable experience with MS Access in developing stand alone database applications. They can create Run Time versions of MS Access so that the Client does not have to have a copy of MS Access to run the database application. They understand the tool very well and know its capabilities and limitations.

They use Active Server Pages (ASP) as the primary web-based programming tool for developing web pages which connect to a database. ASP can be used for something as simple as a login page to check a record set of Users and grant or prohibit access to secure sections of a website. ASP pages are the primary tool in web based applications and e-Commerce sites where most of the data is being written to and retrieved from a database. For Clients who prefer Linux or Unix based hosting they can use PHP to connect to the database.

Database conversion is also a strength of Corectech. They can convert records from existing and legacy databases. This includes the ability to provide exception reports for data that cannot be converted or has been converted and is suspect or in need of cleanup. If you are using MS Excel or MS Access to manage an existing set of records, ask about converting from Excel to a web-based database, or converting from MS Access to a web based database.
