Corectech Business Systems Inc. is a privately held Manitoba company, incorporated in Winnipeg in November, 1999.

Corectech was originally started to fill a void in the Winnipeg market. Many businesses recognized the need to have information systems and tools to create leverage for their business. A good information system and automated processes can create a considerable competitive advantage which competitors can't see and copy.

The problem with "software development" and "custom programming suppliers" is that they have a reputation for focusing on the technology and not the user needs. They are also typically over budget and unable to meet implementation deadlines. They were difficult to deal with and had rigid policies and procedures.

Having worked in the Winnipeg database design market for several years, Corectech founder Allan Dubyts had a vision of something different. He wanted to give people what they needed. He wanted to be different, not difficult. Being different means listening to people and asking the right questions to help diagnose their situation. Only when you have a clear understanding of the situation, are you able to apply creativity and leverage knowledge from years of problem solving and technology design to create solutions which "fit" with the Client's requirements. This was his pledge to his customers and they continue to deliver on this pledge today.

Corectech, What does it mean?

This concept of providing a precise fit is how the name Corectech and the logo came about. Corectech is a combination of "Correct and Technology". The logo symbolizes a round ball (sphere) fitting smoothly into a round hole. At a time when so many developers of technology solutions were and still are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, we thought this image accurately captures what Corectech means.
